  • What information do we collect about you?
  • How do we use the information we collect?
  • Why do we share the information we collect?
  • How we store and secure the information we collect?
  • How do we access and control your information?

Other important information about privacy

This Privacy Policy covers the information we collect about you when you interact with CSE GLOBAL (for example, by attending CSE GLOBAL events or by filling out information fields on our website), unless a different privacy policy is posted. This policy also explains your choices about how we use information about you. Your choices include how you can object to certain uses of information about you and how you can access and update certain information about you. If you do not agree with this policy, do not access or use our Services or interact with any other aspect of our business.

When we refer to “CSE GLOBAL”, “we” or “us” in this policy, we mean that CSE GLOBAL is the only entity that owns and controls the information that CSE GLOBAL collects when you use its tools and services. CSE GLOBAL offers conveyor belt-related information, products and services, including our web-based productions, workshop productions and inter-professional exchanges, which help you improve your performance, reduce your breakdown rate and benefit your production. We refer to all of these products, as well as our other services and website as “Services” in this policy.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you provide it to us, when you use our Services and when other sources provide it to us, as described below.

Information you provide to us: we collect information about you when you enter it into the Services or provide it to us directly.

Account and Profile Information: we collect information about you when you register or make purchases through the Services. For example, you provide your contact information and, in some cases, billing information when you subscribe to the Services. We keep track of your preferences when you download files made available through the Services.

Content that you provide via our social networks and our website: the Services also include our social networks and website owned or operated by us. For example, you provide us with content when you provide feedback, comments or when you participate in interactive features, surveys, contests, promotions, random draws, activities or events. Similarly, statistical analyses of these materials provide us with information about your relationship with us.

Information You Provide Through Our Support Channels: The Services also include customer support, where you may choose to submit information regarding a problem you are experiencing with a Service. Whether you designate yourself as the technical contact, open a customer account, speak directly to one of our representatives or communicate with our staff, you will be required to provide contact information, a summary of the problem you are experiencing and any other documentation, screenshots or information that may help resolve the problem.

Cookies and other tracking technologies: These are simply analytical means that use cookies and other tracking technologies to recognise you on different services and products.

Information we receive from other sources: we receive information about you from other users of the Service, third party services and related companies, as well as from our business and distribution partners.

Other Users of the Services: other users of our Services may provide information about you when submitting content via the Services. For example, you may be mentioned by someone else on a publication, or when uploading content to our website. We also receive your email address from other users of the Service when they provide it in order to invite you to use our Services. Similarly, a person in your professional circle may provide your contact information when they appoint you as a representative or direct contact.

CSE GLOBAL partners: we work with a worldwide network of partners who provide services around our products. Some of these partners also help us market and promote our products, generate leads for us and resell our products. We receive information from these partners, such as billing information, company name, products you have purchased or may be interested in, evaluation information provided, events you have attended, and the country in which you are located.

Other Partners: we receive information about you and your activities on and off the Services from third party partners, such as advertising and market research partners who provide us with information about your interest in and commitment to our online Services and advertisements.

How we use the information we collect?

How we use the information we collect depends in part on the services you use, how you use them and the preferences you have communicated to us. Here are the specific purposes for which we use the information we collect about you.

To provide the Services and personalise your experience: we use information about you to provide the Services to you, including to process transactions with you, to provide customer support in your local area and also to operate and maintain the Services for you. We may use your email domain to infer your affiliation with a particular organisation or industry in order to customise the content and experience you receive from our Services.

For research and development: we are always looking for ways to make our services smarter, faster, safer, more integrated and more useful to you. We use collective insights into how users use our Services and feedback provided directly to solve problems and identify trends, usage, business models and areas for Service integration and improvement. In some cases, we apply this knowledge across CSE GLOBAL to improve and develop similar functionality or better integrate the Services you use, such as in global research and development for conveyor belts and systems.

To communicate with you about services: we use your contact information to send communications via e-mail and in the Services, including confirming your purchases, sending you price or quotation reminders, responding to your comments, questions and requests, providing customer support and sending you technical notices, updates, etc. We may also use your contact information to send you information about our products and services. Depending on your subscription to our social networks and our Newsletter, we provide communications that are personalised to your business, geographical area and your interactions with us. If you have subscribed and wish to unsubscribe, you will find this option in the communication itself or in your account settings.

To market, promote and encourage engagement with the Services: we use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send communications that may be of interest to you, including by e-mail. These communications are designed to stimulate engagement and to maximise what you will receive from the Services, including information about new product lines, survey requests, newsletters and events that may be of interest to you. We also communicate with you about new product offerings, promotions and contests.

Customer Support: we use your information to resolve technical problems you encounter, to respond to your requests for assistance, to analyse incident information and to repair and improve the Services. When you authorise us to do so, we share your information with a CSE GLOBAL expert to respond to support requests. Please note that CSE GLOBAL experts are employees of CSE GLOBAL or directly affiliated with CSE GLOBAL.

For Safety and Security: we use information about you and your use of the Service to verify accounts and activities, to monitor suspicious or fraudulent activity, and to identify violations of Service policies.

To protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights: when required by law or when we believe it is necessary to protect our legal rights, interests and interests of others, we use information about you in connection with legal claims, compliance, audit functions and information relating to the acquisition, merger or sale of a business.

With your consent: we use information about you when you have given us your consent for a specific purpose not mentioned above. For example, we may publish photos/videos/audios, testimonials or stories of featured customers to promote the Services, with your permission. Otherwise, your anonymity will be respected and the photos/videos/audios used will be purely technical, made with your written or verbal consent at the time of the shooting and with respect for the anonymity of the people who may appear in them.

Legal basis of the processing (for EEA users): If you are a private individual in the European Economic Area (EEA), we collect and process information about you only when we have the legal basis to do so under applicable European laws. The legal basis depends on the Services you use and how you use them. This means that we collect and use your information only in the following cases:

– We need it to provide the Services to you, including to operate the Services, to provide customer support and personalised functionalities and to protect the safety and security of the Services;

– It is required for a legitimate interest (which is not overridden by your data protection interests), for example for research and development, to market and promote the Services and to protect our legal rights and interests;

– You give us your consent to do so for a specific purpose; or

– We have to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.

If you have consented to us using information about you for a specific purpose, you have the right to change your mind at any time, but this will not affect the processing that has already taken place. Where we use your information because we or a third party have a legitimate interest in doing so, you have the right to object to such use even though, in some cases, this may mean no longer using the Services.

Why do we share the information we collect?

We provide IT solutions and materials, and we want them to work well for you. This means sharing information through the Services and with certain third parties. We share the information we collect about you in the ways described below, including in connection with any business transfers, but we do not sell information about you to advertisers or other third parties.

Sharing with other users of the service: when you use the services, we share certain information about you with other users of the service.

Managed Accounts and Administrators: If you register or access the Services using an email address with a domain belonging to your employer or organisation, or if you associate that email address with your existing account, that organisation wishes to establish a CSE GLOBAL account. Your name, contact information, content and account use may become accessible to our Services and to other users of CSE GLOBAL’s service who may provide you with additional products and services or integrate your CSE GLOBAL services or other products and services. For example, your organisation may request that we provide additional security controls on your account to protect your organisation’s information to enhance collaboration and functionality among the products you use. If you are the direct contact for a board of directors, team, or business or commercial account within your organisation, we may share your contact information with current or former employees of our Services, in order to facilitate requests related to our Services.

Sharing with third parties: we share information with third parties who help us operate, provide, enhance, integrate, customise, support and market our Services. Under no circumstances is it intended that any of these third parties may retain your data or use it for purposes other than those of CSE GLOBAL.

Service Providers: we work with third party service providers for website and social network development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage, virtual infrastructure, payment processing, analytics and other services. If a service provider needs to access information about you to perform services on our behalf, it does so on our instructions, including following rules and procedures designed to protect your information.

Links to Third Party Sites: the Services may include links that direct you to other sites or services whose privacy practices may differ from ours. Your use and any information you submit to any of these third party sites is governed by their privacy policies, not this one.

Third Party Widgets: some of our Services contain widgets and social media features, such as the Facebook button. These widgets and features collect your IP address, the page you visit on the Services, and may set a cookie to enable this feature to work properly. Widgets and social media features are hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Services. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them.

With your consent: we share information about you with third parties where you authorise us to do so. For example, we often post customer success stories on our website and social networks. With your consent, we may or may not display your name next to the customer case.

Compliance with enforcement requests and applicable laws; enforcement of our rights: In exceptional circumstances, we may share information about you with a third party if we believe that sharing is reasonably necessary to: (a) comply with any law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, including to meet national security requirements; (b) protect the security or integrity of our products and services; (c) protect CSE GLOBAL, our customers or the public from harm or illegal activities; or (d) respond to an emergency in which we believe in good faith that we need to disclose information to help prevent the death or serious bodily injury of any person. For more information on how we respond to government requests, see our Commitments and CSR.

Business Transfers: we may share or transfer information we collect under this privacy policy in connection with any merger, asset sale, financing or acquisition of all or part of CSE GLOBAL’s business to another company. You will be notified by email and/or a visible notice on the Services if a transaction takes place, as well as any choices you may have regarding your information.

Notice to final users

Our products are intended for professional or associative use. Where the Services are made available to you through an organisation (e.g. your employer), that organisation is the administrator of the Services and is responsible for the end-users and/or Service sites over which it has control. If this is the case, please direct any questions about data privacy to your administrator, as your use of the Services is subject to the policies of that organisation. We are not responsible for the security or privacy practices of an administrator’s organisation, which may differ from this policy.

Even if the Services are not currently administered by an organisation, if you are a member of a team administered by an organisation or if you use an email address provided by an organisation (such as your business email address) to access the Services, then the administrator of that team or the owner of the domain associated with your organisation’s email address (such as your employer) may assert administrative control over your account and use of the Services at a later date. You will be notified if this happens. Please contact your organisation or consult your administrator’s organisational rules for more information.

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. If we do, we will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide more prominent notice by posting a notice on our site pages, social networks or by sending you an email notification. We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review. We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy whenever you use the Services to stay informed about our information practices and the ways in which you can help protect your privacy.
